An update on our storm restoration:                                                                                                                                                         Friday’s nor’easter caused power outages across PPL Electric Utilities’ service territory and we are working as quickly and as safely as possible to get the lights back on.  We currently have thousands of workers – including linemen, tree crews and logistical support personnel – working 24 hours a day in this effort.  Included among our line workers are 100 contractors provided through PPL’s sister utilities in Kentucky – Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities. In addition, we expect another 250 line workers to arrive over the next 48 hours.

We have released the following estimated restoration times for various regions of our service territory.  It is important to note that most customers in these areas will have power restored well in advance of the stated times.

Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties  – 5 p.m. Sunday, March 4.

Susquehanna Valley (Lock Haven/Bloomsburg)  – 11 p.m. Sunday, March 4

Lancaster County – 11 p.m. Sunday, March 4.

This is an example of the damage our crews are seeing storm

across south central PA.

We urge everyone to stay safe, and if you see a downed power line, please stay far away from it and call us at 1-800-DIAL-PPL.
