On Thursday June 1st, the Borough of Mechanicsburg received official notice from SUEZ Water that their contractor will be starting construction on a water main replacement on South Market Street from Main Street through to Marble Street.  The information the Borough was given states that there will be major traffic impact on the first block of South Market.  You can expect delays on Main Street and Simpson Street and around Downtown Mechanicsburg, during construction.

The project is scheduled to start Monday, June 5th and take approximately 1 to 2 months and totally involve the North-bound travel lane of Market street between Simpson and Main.  According to the information that the Borough has received this work will also impact the entire intersection of Main and Market Streets.

We will do our best to keep the residents informed as new information become available.
