Everyone should be diligent about removing stagnant water from their properties.

Residents are encouraged to survey their property for mosquito breeding habitat:

  • Containers should be emptied every 5 days to prevent adult mosquitoes from emerging
  • For water in containers which cannot be emptied, homeowners can apply a bacteria based pesticide,

which kills the larvae, but can be used around fish, pets, and children

Home Products for purchase at most lawn and garden stores:

  • MosquitoDunks
  • MosquitoBits
