Operation Wildcat continues to work to pool the Mechanicsburg Area School District community resources to help local families in need on an on-going basis.

Project Cinderella

Donations
Do you have old prom and homecoming dresses that you’ll never wear again? Open House: Your First Stop Before You Shop!
Information on Try On Day in April will be posted on Operation Wildcat’s website.  Open House is open to all!! At the Open House, students will be able to enter into a raffle to win one of these two prizes:

Project Yard Sales ‘N More: Operation Wildcat Largest Yard Sale Ever V April 24-25

On April 24 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. , and April 25 from 8 a.m. to Noon,, Operation Wildcat will once again be holding its’ Largest Yard Sale Ever V!  (NOTE:  Our ‘Fill A Bag for A Buck Sale’ starts promptly at 10 a.m. on Saturday).  We have everything from baby/kids toys to knic knacs, books, pictures, household items, decorative items, kids and adult clothing – you name it – we probably have it for sale.
Time to once again clean out the closets, drawers, garage, attic, shed and get ready for the next Operation Wildcat yard sale!    Donations (small amounts) may be left at Maureen’s house (2425 Clover Drive) or arrangements can be made to accept larger donations at our storage units at Storage Depot.  Call or email Maureen – mmross4@comcast.net, 717-773-1988 or Pat at pclawges@gmail.com, 717-512-4164.
We will also accept donations of items for the yard sale on April 23rd from 4 – 8 p.m.  So clean out the closets, the garage, the boxes tucked away in the basement – and bring the items to McBic on the 23rdth.
NOTE:  WE DO NOT accept computers, printers, televisions or stereo equipment.  Computer equipment can be dropped off at Mission Central/Computer Ministries.
All the money raised is turned into gift cards to stores such as Giant, Weis, Target, Walmart, and Sheetz or utilized to purchase items needed for families.

Service Opportunities

Saturday mornings
Looking for service hour opportunities? Operation Wildcat will be scheduling times to clean up its space in MMS basement on Saturday mornings, 9 a.m., until noon.  No one needs to stay all 3 hours.  Our next clean up day is April 18th; please go to http://doodle.com/5tyb9c3su9t4fnuw to sign up.  For future clean up days, please go to Operation Wildcat’s website for link to signup.

Project Back to School

Our donation bins will be out in the community over the summer collecting needed back to school items.  Please visit our website in June for the list of items we are collecting for our students in need.

Project Clothes

Ongoing Needs New underwear and socks, both genders and all sizes.  Please visit our website for up to date list of other items needs.  Donations may be left in any of the OW bins in the district buildings. Please label all bags of donations. If you have a large donation, please contact Melissa Herbein mshoffman29@gmail.com  to make arrangements.

Project Furniture

Wanted: Pickup Trucks and Labor to help with Furniture Pick-up/delivery. If you can help in afternoons and weekends, please contact Maureen Ross, mmross4@comcast.netto be put on the list of volunteers.

Laptops Needed

Replacing your current laptop? Don’t junk it; donate it to Computer Ministry. They will also take your old desktop, monitors, printers, peripheals, and other office equipment. They are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., and are located in Mission Central, 5 Pleasant View Drive, Mechanicsburg (near the district courthouse, BBEC, Sauve Bros and Grandpa’s Growlers).
