Council President Brian Rider gave testimony at the State Transportation
Commission Hearing on October 17th in support of our traffic
signalization project. Representative Jerry Nailor, who was also
in attendance, has been instrumental in helping to keep support for our
project extremely strong. Pictured with Representative Nailor &
President Rider is Scott Tochterman, from Delta Development, the
Borough's consultant on this project.
Elmer Adams recognized - July 15, 2003

Elmer is shown above receiving a plaque from Citizens Fire Company
for his years of service, and an embroidered jacket from Mayor Jack
Ritter. Mr. Adams has served the Borough's residents in various
capacities since 1936. Thank you Elmer for your tireless work and
many years of service to our families.

175th Anniversary Celebration and Building Dedication
On Saturday, April 12, 2003, the Borough of Mechanicsburg celebrated the
175th Anniversary of the Incorporation of our Borough and held the
Building Dedication for the new Municipal Center at 36 W. Allen Street.
We were privileged to have in attendance Governor Ed Rendell,
Representative Jerry Nailor, and representatives for Congressman Todd
Platts and Senator Hal Mowery.
Police Department - hiring ceremony

The Mechanicsburg Police Department is pleased to welcome Patrolman
Devin Montgomery to our Force. Devin was sworn in by Mayor Ritter,
Chief Spotts and Lieutenant Myers. Also, many of Devin's fellow
officers were in attendance to welcome him to the Borough.
